Late last year The Muses released their highly anticipated fourth studio album. Aptly titled, FOUR is the fourth offering from the Johannesburg based string quartet, who’ve travelled far and wide sharing their uptempo string arrangements of the world’s top pop songs.
The 14-track CD was released to critical acclaim from top media personalities, with major emphasize placed on Sound of Silence.
They were quoted by People Magazine as having the “ability to recreate songs we know and love and give them new life – something which has set them apart from other artists trying to do the same.”
This is exactly what they do with Sound of Silence, bringing it new life. Oliva adds, “We put our own twist on Disturbed’s version of the song.”
It is also the song the girls have chosen as their first single. Following it’s release, The Muses recently filmed some visuals to pair with the beautiful ballad, shot by Matthew Marinus from Dream Canvas Productions.
The sassy quartet were dressed by Joel Janse van Vuuren in robes of white, resembling angelic cherubs jaxtaposed against the backdrop of the African moonlight sky.
