If there’s a party worth starting, the best ignition is this funky four-piece out of Gauteng, South Africa. With two violins, one viola and a single cello, The Muses will turn any situation into a sensational night to remember. And with looks to kill, who can resist?
Founded by Olivia Kotze, The Muses’ journey began in 2011, and in that time the four-piece have played the length and breadth of the country, invited by prestigious brands – the likes of BMW, Mercedes-Benz, The Spring Summer Guess Fashion Show and the 2013 UEFA Champions League Heineken Mansion series – to play some of the most prestigious events. The Muses’ are one of the most active performers, entertaining audiences up to 6 times a week.
All classically-trained virtuosos, The Muses are known for their quality productions, pop prepped and ready to deliver. Whether it’s “How Deep Is Your Love”, “Sorry”, “Oliver Twist” or “Pata Pata”, the quartet are always keen to get as many people on their feet and dancing the night away as they unpack the contents of their four carefully considered albums. They also dive into the rock genre with hits such as Led Zeppelin’s “Kashmir” and Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit”. Not forgetting their classical roots, their version of Disturbed’s Sound of Silence is a fan favourite. It is also the first single off their newly released fourth studio album, FOUR.
